Personality: Sasme is a bit of an odd ball to be blunt. During down time in the village he can seem very immature, and usually gets into a lot of trouble with his smart mouth and attitude. Though his mouth tends to get him into a lot of trouble, his work ethic speaks volumes more about his character. Any time he needs to buckle down and get to work whether it be studying a jutsu, or spending hours training his body to be faster, stronger, or anything else, he does so without so much as a complaint.
Though never really having many friends during his time at the academy thanks to his trouble making ways, always being in detention, Sasme still wouldn't mind to do anything to save another person from his village, Shinobi or other. Oddly enough, he doesn't just want to keep the people of his village safe he also wants the ultimate leading role when it comes to keeping the village from harm. He hopes to one day become the Shadow that keeps his village safe, to become Hokage.

The BackgroundHistoryPre-Academy Life: Sasme was born in a middle class family in Konohagakure, the hidden village in the leaves. Sasme's family early on was looked down upon when they first moved to Konoha, being that after the last Ninja War, they were a Shinobi family searching for a better place to live. They were originally from Kumogakure, The Village Hidden in The Clouds, hence the fact that many in the Raiki family, inherit either Raiton or Suiton elements. It also gives a bit of information on why they were not immediately liked when they came into the village, with the rocky past of Kumo and Konoha.
As a child Sasme didn't have to worry about what his parents went through, with the distrust of all their peers, having been born in the village and growing up with the local children of other families. Growing up, Sasme had been smarter then most regular kids and didn't care to show it either, constantly reminding the other kids with smart ass remarks, and a condescending attitude. Though this had caused him to be in more trouble then he was in praise, it eventually led to him being noticed for having quick reflexes and quick on his feet coming up with insults or excuses for why he acted the way he did. Originally his parents, neither being Shinobi, the first non Shinobi in his long lineage of the like, sent him to the Academy for some cheap discipline training.
After the end of the first semester, he quickly ascended the later being one of the brightest students the Academy had at his age. This had caused Sasme to be happier in general finding something that he was so skilled at, and enjoyed learning more everyday about not just the history of Shinobi, but what he could learn to be and do. Unfortunately for his parents it meant that if he truly was so skilled at the training of being a Shinobi they should let him stay in the program. No longer for his discipline but for the good of the Village. In Kumo, the Raiki name was well known and associated with skilled Shinobi, and they wanted that to be passed on to their new home in Konoha.
Academy Days: Sasme, had scaled the rankings of the Academy the moment he started, using his quick wit to get him into the spot light. Though his wit had gotten him into more than his fair share trouble, he always made sure to stay on top of his school work, which had become like an obsession to him. The more he learned and the more he trained, the better he wanted to be, all the way to the point he wanted to become the Hokage. The very top of being a Shinobi, the strongest Shinobi in the entire world, from what he read it would take lifetime of dedication to become the best, and more than just a little bit of luck.
The years rolled on, and Sasme became better and better, finally it came time for the young twelve year old boy to take the next step into becoming a Legend. Sasme went into the final Genin testing, the Genin Exam, as one of the top students in the entire Academy, in a tight race for the Rookie of the Year. An award which would not only benefit him, but his whole team should they all be ready, they would get better, higher paying missions early on. The experience of course for each member would be invaluable, and the attention for the village with each completed mission would pay for the Genin's training instantly.

Major: Petrified of Spiders, to the point where all he wants to do is run away or is frozen on the spot. (at first sight, freezes for 1 post. For his second and third post, he wants nothing more then to escape or destroy, the Spider that sent him into a feared state. Loses -2 speed the first post after being frozen. After regaining his head(AFTER his second post he gains back his speed however loses -2 dexterity, and -1 wisdom)
